CALIFORNIA TEACHERS ASSOCIATION ENDORSES MIKE ENG FOR STATE SENATE

EL MONTE, CA — The California Teachers Association (CTA), representing over 325,000 teachers, counselors, psychologists, librarians, and other educators in our public schools and colleges throughout California, has endorsed Democrat Mike Eng for the open 22nd State Senate District.

“I am proud to have the endorsement of the rank & file teachers of CTA who each and every day make a quality public education possible for our students of the San Gabriel Valley. Education is a major priority for me and I look forward to working with CTA in Sacramento to make our public education system a shining example in our country,” Eng concluded.

Mike’s campaign for State Senate has gathered a huge amount of momentum lately with major endorsements from the California Teachers Association and major organizations including the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor and the California Democratic Party. All of the best-known District leaders – including incumbent Senator Ed Hernandez, Supervisors Hilda Solis and Kathryn Barger, Congressmembers Judy Chu and Grace Napolitano and Assemblymember Ed Chau – are supporting Mike.

Mike Eng previously served in the State Assembly, on the L.A. Community College District Board of Trustees, and on the Monterey Park City Council.
